Panto in Queensland?

Hi
We went to the panto last night and it was great, we go every year as part of Christmas rituals. I know its a british thing but wondered as there is so many poms in australia if they have panto there too?

They do hold Christmas carol concerts all over though; these are free, open air events, held at cricket clubs/ parks etc. They have local celebrities sometimes (Ricki-Lee who previously won Australian Idol in Burleigh Heads), with Santa making usually making an appearance and sometimes they have fireworks at the end. Great fun for kids, just take some fold up chairs, a picnic and some drinks!

nope no pantos here

. We took the kids up to Brisbane to see the Wonderful Santa Show with all the characters from ABC KIDS (bit like cbeebies) and it was a really good show for them but def not patch on pantos.

The christmas carol concerts do seem a big deal over here ,but like you guys ive not seen or heard of pantos yet !
