Naaaah, just gonna have to face it and get it over with. Hopefully not for a few months yet, and I will get her sedated this time (I know you're not supposed to ). But she is only little, and been thru too much already.
Hi Allie

You can't get Sophie sedated it is illegal in Oz anyways to sedate a animal whilst on a areoplane & can be fatal to any animal due to the change in tempature in the cabin.

Yeh, I know - I just will have to dose her up with Rescue Remedy !!!!

But she is a tough little fighter - I will be the one sedated on the (same) plane, believe me. Hubbie's orders...........

Love Allie xxxxxxxx

Hi Allie

I don't know anything about rescue remedy but i would ask the vets advice before giving her any. I am sure it will be fine but just as a precaution. At least you will be able to take her straight home from the airport.

AngelaCDyer is on a distinguished road
He is at peace now....

Grief is a terribly painful process......and it will take time.... It may not seem so now, but one day you will be able to wake up and be able to remember Syd with happy memories of the "good times" that you had with him....of which I am sure there were many. He was a very lucky dog to have been with a family who obviously loved him so dearly...and that is a blessing....

I wish you all the best for your return journey....I am sure Sophie will be okay...although I understand your concern, especially given your recent experience....

It sounds as though you have been through alot....take care of yourself,
Best Wishes, Angela

Hi Alliekate

Sorry, love, but once a thread has been started the Mods cannot close or delete it simply because the thread-starter demands that this should be done.

Arbitrarily closing or deleting a thread in the way that you are trying to demand has the effect of rubbishing everybody else's contributions to it. That would not be fair on the others in a harmless thread like this one where nobody is trying to slit anyone else's throat.

We WILL close threads where subjectively- felt emotions are running away with the subject matter of the thread, but only for the whole and sole purpose of preventing threads from descending into personal slanging matches which add precisely nothing to the quality of the forum and which tend - if allowed to continue - to do too much personal damage to the protagonists and which simply irritate everybody else.

Best wishes

Gill
