Finally received my registration from Nurses Board of Victoria today. All I need now is to be granted that elusive visa !!!
Had to laugh when I opened the envelope - You are now registered in the state of Victoria BUT your registration is now due for renewal !!!!!
I've only just paid it......................
Anyway, they must be full of christmas spirit down under as they have waived the fee for the time being, but they will be sending me out a reminder in due course if I want to practise in 2008

Great news Gill! Must be a nice feeling! If it was the NMC they'd certainly be asking for your money now! Still waiting for my Queensland Registration to come through. Got a letter a couple of weeks back saying I'd been assessed as eligable to register, and requested reg. fee. Fee paid but still not no the online register. Not to worry, was just glad to get my skills assessment back and visa application sent.
