We're having our medicals next Friday, and was just wandering what happens to them then? Will the Doctor give them back to us to send to Sydney? Do we send them by courier or by post? If the doctor sends them, is this included in the price? Will he know where they go? So many questions!
Also, we just got our Police Checks back, where do we send them off to? I've scanned copies to my agent. When I printed them off for my personal file, they came out with FRAUD written all over them!!!!! I must get those forms sent off before the police track me down for copyright or something! LOL!
Just one more question (I promise) does any one no what a TRN reference number is? My agent has told me that the Doctor must write this on all our forms.
Hi, We didnt get to see our medicals , we had to give the Doc the address (but he already knew it) and he posts everything of to Australia. Let us know if you want the address as we do have it.
Police checks we have to send to our agent and they are sending them
The TRN number is the TRA pass number , if that makes sense
Good luck with all
p.s. you will need two photocopies of your passport one goes with the medical and the other goes with the Xray, we didnt know this until we got there. Have you got your forms to complete from your agent that are for your medicals?
Hi
we went for medicals friday, postage was included in our price and they knew where to send them- if you ask the clinic they may courier at extra cost. You don't get them back.
I thought the TRN number is the reference number you get when you lodge a visa(you can use it to track how the visa is going) - your agent should clarify these details with you.
Good Luck
Brenda

Yep you could be right, all I know is our agent sent everything over to us and the paperwork had TRN then the number written on it, so we just wrote this down

Thanks,
Yes I have got the forms (Form 26) and have just finished filling them in! My agent is usually really good at explaining things, but I'm sure at times they forget they're dealing with complete novices who know nothing!!!
I was really hoping that the TRN was the more important number, as The P's said!!! But now that you mention the TRA, it seems more likely, unfortunately!
I'll have to double check my e-mails and see if I need to send the police checks on to my agent, I know that she wanted me to scan them to her as soon as they came in.
The doctor has to send them but I would pay the extra money and send by courier. Glad we did because because our panel doctor we used from a well know street in London wrote the airway bill out wrong and they got stuck in customs for 3 weeks and we wouldn't have known if they went by royal mail (which the doc wanted to do) then we had to pay 200 quid to get them released.
Our meds cost us £7 each postage via the panel docs (£35 in all) but I wish we'd arranged our own courier as the panel docs only sent them International signed for meaning we could not trace them outside of the UK. We've just spent 10 weeks worring if they had arrived or not! They did arrive, thankfully!
Arrange a courier with a tracking facility - it is likely to be cheaper and it will definitely save you weeks of worry.

What a disaster! I'd be furious at that and the fact that YOU had to pay for them to be released! I'm quite tempted to get the Doctor to hold off sending them 'til after the Christmas period altogether!
Can anybody explain please, how you do track your visa progress on-line. I haven't got a clue?!
I'm sure the TRN number is to do with visa application so you can trace application online and nothing to do with TRA.
Have spoke to people who are saying the same thing, its the same as the old style case reference number isn't it.
Sorry if i'm wrong.
...
Yes I think you are right. I just dug out our paperwork and we sent of our visa application on line, the email that came back says
Primary Applicant then husbands name
date of birth
Transaction Record Number And this is where the TRN number comes in
Whats confusing they use all initials for things i.e. TRA TRN etc... wish they would just say what the initials are as you find yourself trying to de-code everything all the time.
