We are relatively new to PIO but have been reading the site for ages and it is a great source of information and advice and you all seem a great bunch of people.
We have signed up with Go Matilda and have just received all the forms for the skills assessment application. Hubby is a bricklayer and we hope to go to Perth with our two children.
Any advice for this long process would be greatly apprecitated!

We are with Go Matilda too. John Sylvester is our agent. Looking to head to Brisbane. Started off with Perth though and then Townsville etc. Just so many places to go. Just received a positive on our skills assessment which took about a week so going to send off the visa information forms in January. Need a breather as things are a bit hectic at the moment for us.

Advice during this process, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
take up drinking, if you don't drink already start practicing now
there will be down times, times when you are not sure if you are doing the right thing, you will need to drown your sorrows during the stressful times, the waiting, the endless waiting................
and celebrate the highs, cos when they come you feel so great
but it is worth it in the end (not there yet but I am 100% sure it will be worth it)
and you can always come on here for support, encouragement, a kick up the bum when you are dragging your heels filling in paperwork
