Hello all
Another box ticked. Meds done on Thursday evening (29th) with Dr Goodall in Southampton. He is really nice, relaxed and very (!) chatty. All straightforward in the end and no 'embarassing' examinations! He was really good with the children and let them watch very closely while he took our blood. Then he gave them the phial to hold - they were spookily fascinated - should I be worried!
We're over the moon because my OH has smoked since he was 13 and we were worried about the chest xray (silly really because better to know if something is wrong!) but all is clear.
Another good thing to come out of this process is that it has spurred him on to give up smoking and he gave up about 11 days ago

Me and the children are so proud of him. I told him that just because xrays are clear, doesn't mean he can go back to smoking!
So, now it's wait, wait wait - seems more real by the week.
Alex
