not to rub it into the people still waiting for their visa's to be granted, but here's my timeline:
2nd Sept.07 police check applied for
4th Oct.07 police check received
5th Oct.07 medical
2nd Nov.07 application lodged at High Commision
7th Nov.07 Case officer asigned
22nd No.07 phone interview
5 minutes later, Visa Granted!
It was a long 20 days, but well worth it. good luck to everyone applying, we are moving over to Melbourne in March 08.

F me that was F ing quick. I would love to know what visa you applied for.
Its not the "I'm a member of a royal family visa", or "I'm so rich I can live anywhere visa", or "I know something about John Howard that the world doesn't need to know, visa" or "I'm a celebrity get me out of here, visa".

My Mood:
congratulations
the defacto visas do seem to get processed very quickly, probably because they are done here through high commission and probably a lot less of them too
a long 20 days...................................you are so funny
