Just a bit of reassurance for your eldest. My daughter is 19 and we moved to Perth 3 months ago. She loves it, has made loads of friends and is out nearly every weekend (no change there then). She has met friends through her part time job (she starts college in Feb) and is even going out with her hairdresser and her mates this weekend as they are the same age! She doesn't drive but her friends do and they go off to the beach at weekends cos it is free. She has really surprised me as when she was 15 we moved 5 miles away and she didn't speak to me for 6 months! She keeps in touch with her Uk friends - as I type this she is sat by the pool on the phone to the UK! She buys a phone card which is $10 (around 4 quid) and that gives her 900 mins. With facebook and MSN etc she has not had any problems keeping in touch. Hope this helps. Good luck with everything.
Lynne

Thanks for the encouragement we moved from London to Kent three years ago and she didn't want to come then. I am hoping as any mother would that she does like it over there. (can't see why not) she does seem to be coming round a bit though. She hasn't got a great deal of friends in Kent as most are in London and she hardly see's them. I think it is more the thought of going, once we get there it will hopefully be a different story.
Where did you live in England? Richard (hubby) and I arre just discussing what to take when we go. It is going to be really hard parting with some of my stuff.
