Passed Vetassess Part 1!

Hi we passed the first part of the Vetassess, so was great news after all the trouble with the TRA etc! The practical is in December but it's the first 'yes' we've had so far so the ball finally feels like it's rolling!

Hi there and Congratutulations on passing the Vetassess!!!
Wondered if you could help us??? Just got our paperwork through for the Vetasses, hubby a joiner, could you tell us what you provided in terms of 'proof' for skills etc. As you know there are loads of different boxes and you have to state what you have done and provide evidence that you have done them? We have our own joinery & building business, are references, invoices etc that cover those particular skills counted as evidence? Are we being thick???

Hi if you are talking about the trade evidence form, it is basically anything you can tie up with the box to prove you have done that kind of work. We used invoices which were itemised, photos of work completed and you can obtain work references which highlight the type of work you have done for that customer. It's a case of going through all yaour business paper work: tax statements, photos, accounts records books (extracts from sales book showing start dates and recent dates) etc. The more the better then at least you know you have submitted as much as possible! We had done a statutory declaration before for the TRA and used this in our applications.

HI MU HUBBY IS A JOINER AND WE ARE APPLYING FOR A SKILLED SPONSERSHIP VISA. JUST FILLING IN OUR FORMS FOR THE TEST. IS IT IN TWO PARTS AND IS IT DONE SEPARATELY - WE THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ONE DAY OF PRACTICAL TESTS.

Hi The evidence is the first part and then if you have enough evidence and you pass you take a practical test, and I think it is just one day (I hope!). They grade the evidence 1-3
1. You have enough evidence to take the practical.
2. You can take the pracitical but there is a chance you will fail based on the evidence supplied.
3. fail.
