Awwww ...CC ... I agree! I think housework is a thankless task! ..... but everywhere does look SO much better when its clean and tidy! ... I HAVE heard that ozzies dont go to the same lengths to "clear the decks" when they are selling ... so think of what you are doing as a purely pommie trait that will soon disappear once you move downunder!
Good Luck with potential buyers ..and dont forget the "fresh bread and coffee percolating" tricks! ....

my tummy sometimes talks to me
I really dont know how
It says "I need some chocolate!
And I really need it now!"
....nice placemats and candles on the dining room table - removed very quickly once the viewers had departed and before the children could have their dinner off them.... oh the memories.
Good luck with the house

When we were waiting for our visas to come thru I was constantly on the rental websites in Oz. I used to be so shocked as to the interiors of the properties when they got photographed! My hubby and I even saw a dog having a poo in the garden and the real estate listed this as a photo on their portfolio!!

We only put ours up for sale this week and its driving me mad already. The dog wonders whats going on as he has to have his feet washed every time he comes in from having a pee..( New Carpet). As soon as its sold i couldnt give a "monkeys"..lol

We've sold ours (well its going through-fingers crossed) but I smiled when I saw the 'new towels' comment. I bought new towels to put in the bathroom for when we had viewings, but woe betide any one in our family who dared to try and use them once a viewing was over! They are still in the draw all shiny and new 'just in case' anything goes wrong & we have to bring them out again! Anyway Good luck with it all I have fingers crossed for you x

My Mood:
Yep very frustating
I spoke to our agent today as we had a report from them telling us that our house had been included in 800 odd search results but only 19 clicked on our house
so we have reduced the price and hope that we will now catch a different group of house buyers and get more through the door
the market is so bad at the moment that we are having to lower our expectations on what we will achieve from the sale of our house, I keep reminding myself that we have made some money on the house since we bought it so at least we have some profit.
the other option is to sit it out and wait, see if the market improves
not really an option for us I need to make this move by mid Feb at the very latest otherwise it will be impossible to get my DD to come with us - shhhhhhhhhhh no protests coming from there at the mo
I just want people to view, I know we will get a buyer if only they will come and look
