Had a phone call from agent today, he has scanned and sent aus and uk police checks to our case officer,he seems to think that as long as my lung report gets there straight away we could have our visa in about 3 weeks!!!!!!!!
I'm not building my hopes up but it was nice to hear .
He says there have been a few cases lately with a 4 week turn round and medicals have been in Aus over a week now already!!! I was hoping for before christmas but 3 weeks would be great, we go on holiday on 21st November wouldn't it be great if we had news before then.

I'd wait til you get the nod - 'cos you'll only have to go out and buy another to celebrate again. I found this last bit really stressful, waking at 5am to check emails to see if we'd been granted the visa.

It does depend on when your medicals were received at the LCU as there is still an 8 week backlog. They are currently processing those received first week in Sept. Ours were received 24th Sept, so we are expecting to hear something in 2-4 weeks time.

Not that I want to panic you more, but we have just been granted our visa and our medicals left the UK on about the 24th August (arrived 27th). You may just want to make some enquiries.

Yes I did panic a bit when I saw you'd got yours (pleased for you though!), I spoke to my agent yesterday who says he's got about 12 other clients who have been waiting for about the same amount of time as me, so not to worry too much. He also chased our CO a week ago, but still waiting for a response. Trying to stay calm but it's getting harder as the weeeks go by, oh well.......
