Talking the nightmare ...........................

Most of the nightmare is over now , The forms ,Medicals ,selling up ! But now the flights are booked & our 3 overexcited children cant wait to get on the plane . little do they know they will be trapped on it for around 22 hours so here it is ... anyone taking a flight on the 28th nov at about 1 ish look out & dont forget your sedatives .
im gonna pack mine , they are good kids really but verrrrrrry active , i cant see them resting much. never mind it will be fun we can turn the plane into coco's playbarn! he he he .
anyone else absolutely dredding the long journey out ?

( P.S ) We are on our way in about 4 weeks over the moon , scared ,nervous , happy, sad all at the same time i think im gonna explode !

lol.... good luck with the journey, how old are your kids? Ours are 10 and 12 and they were wired for the whole journey (and consequently knackered and delirious when we got there!) but the films and video games had them hooked so it was great!

I always go on a night flight so I'm tired and sleep the whole way. OK, so I'm only 5ft with little fat legs so don't have a problem with leg room unlike 6ft OH.

The kids will be fine. There is lots for them to do on the plane, videos, pc games, etc.

Enjoy the flight and good luck with your new life.

Jean

Our kids are 4, 7 and 8 and have done long haul a few times. The youngest I give Phenegan - travel sedative which you can buy over the counter at Boots - after you have been through security! The older two are very happy watching the TV and just chilling with their headsets one! Promise you it won't be as bad as you think! Good luck anyway, Nat xx

If you've never used phenegan before I would try it first before you fly as it can effect children differently/or not at all.

Phenagen had the opposite effect on my eldest - never seen him so active!

Might want to try it out first - Medised worked better on my kids (not that i drug my kids regularly - honest)

Hi
We've just returned from Perth and the flights weer fine. Our kids are aged 12 and 8 and slept for some of the journey time also theres the tv/games console in each seat and I toook books and pens.pads for them too. It sounds a bit drastic to give them sedatives though!
