Hi
I think I have asked someone this question before but forgot the answer. When applying for police checks, do you have to ask for the police checks for every constabulary you have lived. E.g. I spent longer than 10 years in greater manchester but have now spent longer than a year in gwent police area. Or if I just go to my local gwent police station would they do a UK search on my history ? It could cost me a fortune otherwise as have moved around an awful lot.
Thanks
Helen
Hopefully the form will ask for areas you have lived in previously and then the force vetting department can conduct those checks - generally your name and date of birth will link any information that other forces have on you and if nothing comes up this will be recorded as 'no trace' hence no problems, hope this elliviates some fears...
