Just spent the last few days packing up our house, ready to move into rented accomm. This is all in between catching a cold, and a sickness and diahorrea bug, that came from nowhere on Thursday (thought you'd all like to know that part). Anyway, have been dosed up on Lemsips and rehydration satchets. I have managed to clench my buttocks well enough every time i had to pick up some furniture and load it on my van.
Well, we're now sat here, this last evening in our house, sat on mattress and daughter is sat on inflatable sofa to spend one more night in our beloved house.
But one little tip for everybody, and i can hear mr KP nuts laughing already, if and when you all go into rented, whilst waiting for visas please be sure that you can fit your settee into your new rented accomm. Say no more. eddie, tina
It is sad moving out, we moved out of our house into my parents house 3 weeks ago, it didn't feel like home without our furniture in, but it was sad having to throw out so much stuff and having to pack up!
But we are looking forward and not back and hoping to be out in the sun in January!!!
Enjoy your night!
Liz

Thanks for that Liz, we're certainly going to make the most of it. It's certainly going to be strange handing the keys over on Monday morning but it will feel like another big step forward at the same time.
Hi guys, in a way we were lucky as we rented our house to my brother so we stayed until the day we flew out. It was still really hard tho as we had everyone sitting in our front room saying goodbye......o shudder when I think about it, such a difficult time.
My daughter and I had leaky eye syndrome when we were stood alone in our empty house - but my daughter turned to me and said "it doesn't feel like home anymore mum" and it didn't. It's really a strange feeling

Hope you manged the move with out shedding too many tears Tina ... it'll all be worth it in the end and another step closer to Oz !!!!!!! I'll be very sad to leave my house... we bough it 13 years ago so its the only house two of my 4 kids know........ and it was so run down (thats an understatement!!) so we have spent the last 13 years of our lives, loadsa money, effort, sweat & tears doing it up and it looks the best it ever has.. so I'm emotionally attached to our house and I'm sure i'll shed a tear of too when we leave for OZ.........
And as for the sofa.... Eddie, hav'nt you heard of a tape measure mate ??!!!!! lol
