I have not been on poms in oz in months - we arrived on 10 Sept and have moved to the gold coast, burleigh waters to be precise!! Its been a hectic time sorting everything out. We stayed in a hliday rental at first for 4 wks then after much hunting managed to find a rental for a 12 month lease next to a good school.
It was hard work when we first arrived, cal and gary were great and helped us lots, so it could have been worse had we not known them. Our container is here on Friday, its took 3 weeks to clear customs (foot and mouth) and a week to sort out delivery, they also stung us with additional charges that I was not happy about. But Ill be pleased to get our stuff to make the rental feel more like home. My kids are fitting in well, Jay is making friends (8) and Amber is in kindy 2 days (3).
Its still early days at the moment, missing family and friends but thats normal. Great to be back online and on poms in oz - to hear how others are doing, and how they feel now that there here!!!! Linzi x
Welcome to the Gold Coast. We are in Varsity Lakes. I go to a great playgroup in Burleigh Waters on a Tuesday morning at the church on the corner os Burleigh Street and St James. Not sure what days Amber is in Kindy but give me a shout if you fancy it as I have Ella who is 3 she is in Kindy 1 days week on a wednesday.

The playgroup sounds great em, ive been looking for somewhere to take Amber (shes 3 too) only problem is she is at kindy on a tues and wednesday at the moment. What time is it on? Ill PM you anyway with my details so we can meet up!!
Yes Cal cant wait for the container - im sooo excited about seeing some of my worldly possesions!!! we dont even have a telly at the mo!!!!! Scotts job not the best, but his tools arrive on Friday and he's going to apply for a BSA, it'll give him more choice as a lot of employers ask for this card. Its been ok for the moment though! Taking the kids to movie world next tuesday for the halloween party there, they cant wait!!!!!
