Just joined today and can think of a million and one questions I'd like to ask. My family and I have been contemplating moving to Aus for the past 2-3 years and keep putting it off for reasons of fear of it all going wrong and making the wrong decision. We have two children and want a better life for them and us!
We visited Brisbane last year and loved it so much we want to move there. Can anyone recommend a family friendly, nice, reasonably priced suburb to live in around Brisbane area, no further than about 10km from CBD with good schools!!!
My OH is a Chef, does anyone have any advice on what jobs in his trade are like out there and how easy it would be for him to find work?? Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to PIO.
It's quite a while since we lived in Brisbane............. you will just love it over there. We used to live at Everton Park in the north first of all.......... then moved down to Carindale in the south east. We preferred that area.
Wherever you do end up in Brissie....................... hubby will have no problem at all finding work.
