Things to do before you go

Hi

Has anybody got a wish list like me of things to do before you go?

I ask only because I booked to go to Paris today as I've always wanted to go up the Eiffel Tower and regret not doing it when I've visited before.

Also we want to take the kids to London Zoo, visit the youngests' dolphin that she has adopted in the Firth of Forth (not too sure about that one!) and we also want to take the kids to a first team match at Old Trafford as they both love Ronaldo and Rooney and have been to youth games and loved it !

What do you want to do before you fly off to your new life of the other side of the world? I know I'm being nosey but I can't help it !

Hi Joanne,

We also are thinking about what to do before we go - especially as I feel the need to do things as we have nothing else to do but WAIT.

The other weekend we went to Alton Towers for the weekend and stayed at the Splash Landings hotel - something we had never got round to doing before and it was a fab weekend. Saturday we went to Blackpool for the day, but wasn't too great as both kids were sick - and am quite glad we won't be going back there again. I quite fancy taking the kids to Longleat Safari park and seeing a couple of Musicals in London but don't think that's going to happen cos I can't be bothered to travel down there!!

We too have a "To Do" list before we go next summer..... we had a 3 week holiday in europe in september going to france, switzerland, italy (LOVED TUSCANY!) Monaco and back through the south of france, off to Dublin this week for a long weekend ..... trying to visit as many National Trust houses and gardens as humanly possible and collecting fridge magnets from everywhere we go to ....

I am also buying books and keeping them as un-read ... coz they are more expensive over there, also stocking up on material for our curtains and new bedding and towels! I look at it this way .... I MAY be spending money ... but ACTUALLY I am "saving" money! :wub: coz to pay for a WHOLE container and not fill it! ... well THAT would be just criminal!
<looks for an angelic emoticon!>

The Official London Ducktours

I wanna go on a Duck tour! a tour of London on land and river, looks really great

The kid's would like to see a bit of Europe so I am looking into a some sort of whistle stop tour of the major cities.

We are also thinking of taking a week or so to get to Oz, stopping along the way, not sure where yet.

Visiting Europe is a great idea! You don't realise just how close it is until you're on the other side of the world in a MASSIVE country!!

Have fun!!
