Please could someone help me. my 2 year old daughter has drawn all over my leather settee with biro , does anyone know what i should use to get it off with ........thanks karen

OMG!!!! Poor you!
I know of 2 things that are supposed to work but havent tried them myself so maybe try them on a bit underneath first!!!
one is hairspary.........not sure how that works!! lol
and the other is alcohol........not sure if thats clear spirits..ie vodka........i have lots if you need some!!!

Thanks Hays for your quick responce , i have tryed hairspray it gets a little off but not alot, i think i might have to take you up on the offer of the spirit the alcohol version the oh has just finished off the last of the vodka and is now sitting there with his fingers in the bottle trying to get the dreggs out to put on the settee how sad is he lol. karen

Have you tried a pampers or johnston baby wipe ???,i used these to get pen off my wall and it worked,,worth a try

Hi Karen
We had biro on our leather sofa (terracotta colour) thanks to our 3 year old, anyway before we came out here we decided to get them both professional cleaned at a cost of 290 pounds (1 2 seater and 1 3 seater). The results were amazing not only was the biro gone but they also look brand new not 6 years old!!
Sorry I know this is an expensive way of getting it off but if all else fails it might be worth a thought.

Hi

We had the same problem, 2 year old and biro!!! We used hairspray, it does work but just do a little at a time and try not to get the hairspray on anywhere else but where the biro is. Must admit that it did take quite a lot of elbow grease too. Good luck.

Try rubbing in vasaline and leave it for a day or two then do it again .This will take a while but it has worked for us o many occasions as the kids like drawn on ours.

Eucalyptus oil is a good stain remover, great for cleaning leather, and it moisturises it too.
