We are now laying in the middle of our front room on a mattress as all our stuff has just gone on the container about an hour ago. My husband is watching the simpsons, my son gone out with his mates and I am bored because all our home comforts have gone. It felt very strange to watch our stuff go and knowing we will not see it now for probably another 8 to 10 weeks. we fly out to brisbane on the 10th November and hope to settle in Maroochydore. Cant wait, it is so exciting if not a little bit unnerving.
Must say I'm a little anxious just thinking about how I'll feel when it's our turn to pack up and leave. Not so much about the leaving, but having to think 'can we live with the .... for the next 8 weeks' - I don't know how our boys are going to cope without their boxes of lego, hotwheels cars, train set and bikes!!

We know exactly how you feel!!! The last of our stuff went monday its bonkers, but hoping we only have until the beginning of Nov. Blow up beds are so dam uncomfortable and we've another 4 weeks of it. Just hope its worth it to try and get the stuff at the other end. By luck though the wife had a parcel delivered today in a big box which is now making a comfy seat for the computer. Didnt realise how much I would like a bit of weight on me now to cover the bony bits!!

I also know how you feel, all our things were sent off yesterday to storage and then to be shipped out mid November we are Sunshine coast bound mid January.
Its a weird feeling watching your possesions going off down the road and thinking the next time you will see them will be in Australia.
We are hoping to settle in the Buderim area, we are off to Brisbane on the 29th October for 2 weeks to validate, so will look at all the areas then.
We are waiting to see if we have any luck on a rental property in Maroochydore. I am keeping my fingers crossed as it is so nice. We are looking to head to either there or Buderim.
We used a company called Robinsons. They seem very good but I wont be totally relaxed until our stuff is with us again. They did work really hard today. They packed up our stuff so quick, it would have taken me about a month to do what they did in one day.
Now our stuff has gone, we just want to go now.I think the next five weeks is going to really drag. We shall spend the time making the most of our family and friends. It is very exciting.

I remember exactly how it felt having no furniture and like you say non of your homely comforts, its a strange feeling. We were 2 months without our things and I can tell you it sure felt good when it all arrived last week! The kids were so excited about getting all their toys back while I was just pleased to have my own bed to sleep in again, I know it may sound sad but it felt like absolute heaven!!
