Hi all,we have been here a week now and all is good,
We spent a week in Dubai with my brother and family that was great and it gave us all time to caught our breath and made the trip to Brisbane not so long,we were meet at the airport by my mum,dad 2 brother there wife's and 2 nephew's 2 niece's, My mum nearly got arrested by the airport police because she went over the line and came right up to thr arrive door,it was so good to see them all. There was lots of talking and crying and laughing. We arrived on last Tuesday and wednesday we were in the city getting tax file number and medicare cards sorted and our mobiles sorted.
Then on Thursday we went to our local shopping centre which is called the hyperdome, our 19yr old went into one of the hairdressers about a job and they asked her do do a trial day on the Saturday and by the end of the day they offered her the job our 17yr old son is working full time for my cousin until he gets his appreship sorted, then Oh David got an interview this Monday for a job and by Tuesday afternoon they offered him the job which he took. Our 9yrs old Gabrielle starts school next Monday she is really ready to got to school as she has not been since they broke up in the uk on the 22nd july and i am sooooooooo ready for her to go ha ha. So all in all its going really well,we are staying with my parents, but we are now looking at buying our own house soon. I will look for a part time job when Gabrielle is settled in school. It really has been along and sometimes hard journey to get here,we all seem to have got settled but i am really missing my best friend we were just like sisters, its funny but even with all the family round you you can still seem lonely and it is just a case of getting use to a new way of life we will get there but it will take time, sorry to go on but i am so glad to be back on PIO.
Love Sharon xx
Good on ya Shazza, it's only natural for you to feel the way you do, but look at the positives, most people don't know anyone when they first arrive here, so you are in front, at least you have family to help and point you in the right direction as far as places to live etc.
It took me several years to settle, but it's all been well worthwhile, I missed family & friends also, they have been here on holidays & all have said, now I know why you never came back, it's heaven.
Well done on getting to Oz!
It sounds as if you are all doing brilliantly!!!! Give yourself time to get your bearings!
Keep us all posted!
Love VoD
