Australia Exhibition - York Racecourse 29th Sept / 30 th Sept

Hi, If just thought i would put this on. Just read in my local paper there is going to be a Australia And New Zealand Exhibition at the York Racecourse, Knavesmire on Sat 29th sept and Sun 30th sept. Thought it might be useful to anyone going thro this process!
By the way, anyone on here from York or Yorkshire area ???

Hi Sue,
Went to a similar expo at Sandown Park in March of this year we had just applied for our TRA . It's all very helpful all about different areas of OZ , removal Co, finance and banks , State Gov stands, we are heading WA they had a gov stand and were very good took all our details told us if we were eligable and made a point of saying not to use an agent.
Very suprised to see such a long que to get in i think they should of had a stand on behalf of the british gov asking why we all want to leave our country.

Hi, Thanks for that info jackie, need as much info as poss, going to try and get there as soon as it opens to hopefully avoid queues!!
Where abouts in oz are you going too, Emasnwy and Simon and Sue ? What type of visa ?
Have u been to australia before? we haven't, we are going blind !!! So all info gratefully received.

hi sue ,we are going to perth maybe bunbury area ,dave is a diesel mechanic and we are going for the 175visa just waiting for our tra results back.I,ve never been to oz but dave has would have liked to gone on hol first but its to expensive .what about u where r u heading to .

Hi, we are from wakefield, west yorkshire. We are going to the exibition at york. not sure which date yet. Its kinda our first step to getting all the visa info we need on the skilled visa. Our minds are pretty much made up but like i've said in my post, there is just that little bit holding me back from saying lets just do it.

Hi, we are hopefully heading Redcliffe, North Lakes area. Not set in stone though. We have never been before, V. Scary especially as we have two kids in tow. Keep waking up in middle of night , having loads of worries but never any real doubts about what we are doing. We are going to exhibition on the Sunday as at work on the sat. Might bump into a few people from PIO!
