Just wondered if anyone is from Gravesend in Kent.

I posted this last year on a different site but all those people have now gone to Oz.
Lucky things.

Hi Emma,
We're not from Gravesend, buy Iwade, just outside Sittingbourne.
We're doing to Oz on 1st Jan or 3 weeks for a reccie.
Hopefully oh will have a job offer, so we can get visa easier, so oh doesn't have to do the english test.
Not actually starting process untill we get back, have you started process?

No we haven't stared the visas process we are waiting for them to decide what they are doing with the TRA

We went to Perth January this year for the first time in Oz for 6 weeks and really loved it.

Hope you have a great time in January

Hi Emma,
I live in Ashford now but lived Riverview Park, Gravesend,i also worked in my local pub The Gravesend Boat many years ago (early eighties).
We are also heading for Perth (NOR) applied April still waiting case officer wanted to be out there Nov/Dec, but also still need to sell our house might have to go over and validate till we are ready to go.

Also was born in the east end (mile end hospital) a true cockney so they say.
Such a small world once you get talking ,thats why going to OZ is only opens up more experiences,possibilites and future friends to enrich our lives good or bad wouldn't miss a thing!!

My Dad & both my Grandpops worked in the docks at Tilbury.
We used to get the ferry across to Gravesend and go shopping on saturdays.
I had it on my things to do before I left. We went over 2 weeks before leaving and I bought a clock thats now in my "formal lounge" here in Aus.........reminds me of Gravesend High St' every time I look at it!!

Hi Emma,
Not going to Perth, would have liked to.
We fly into sydney on the 2nd Jan for 4 nights, Melbourne for 4 nights, Surfers Paradise for 7 nights, then back down to Bondai beach for 3 nights.
Paul is looking to see which is best for him to work, not too hot.
Hopefully he'll get a job offer, but we'll be waiting to see what happens with the TRA.
Having a job offer will hopefully mean he won't have to do the english test.:)
We don't know anyone over there, but my daughter was there for 3 months at the begining of the year and she loved it.

Not started the visa process yet. After lots of research it seems that the only way we'll get one is through sponsorship from an employer.

Hopefully we can get out to Oz in January to do a rekkie and maybe get some job offers.
