oo err I've only gone and put the house on the market
After much deliberation I rang some estate agents on Fri to ask about putting our house on the market, the same ones who valued it in April.
One did not want to know, no way to have it on the market by deadline to miss HIPS they said
the other one could not get round quick enough, arrived at 2pm signed contract by half past after getting him down from 2.5 - 1.75 to 1.5% tried really hard to get 1% but had to decide whether to let him go and pay HIPS or take the 1.5% and not pay HIPS
so that's it, another thing to tick off the list
they are going to take thier time putting the details together and we are on low key until we get a case officer and I have some idea of when we might get our visas
As estate agents go they appear to be very proactive and professional so we will just have to wait and see
I feel like we are in limbo, sleepwalking through the days and weeks until all hell breaks loose and we are in the throes of packing up and going
some friends of ours (well 0f my sis and bro in law) landed in Oz today after a particularly difficult few years going through the process so I am feeling that there is hope and it will actually happen, maybe, please, please, please, pretty please with sugar on the top

Thats great news - its so exciting, ours sold in June within a week and our buyer has let us stay til 1st October!! if you sell fast its worth asking the question!

We took a chance and put our house on the market in April and we have only had 3 viewings, two of them are very interested but they haven't sold either, its a very unpredictable market. Our house is at the top end of the market for the area that we live in so that doesn't help!
