Points on Licence

Hi all

Just a question I hope some one can answer.

If you have points on your UK Diving Licence do they transfer them to your Australian Licence or do they just stop on your UK one.

Know someone on here can help

Hi there,
We just got our driving licences the other day in Brisbane. OH had 3 points on UK licence but they didn't seem to transfer them. They only gave us a little laminated card - no paper or documents came with it. You get to choose how long you take your licence out for from 1 year to 5 years (the longer you choose to take it the more economical it gets), we only took ours out for 2 years right enough as we didn't have more cash on us at the time. For 2 years it only cost about £15 each ($35).

We both have point on our license, When we went to the office in Brisbane all we gave them was the photo part of the UK license they never even asked about points.

Points don't transfer as the offense was committed in the UK and not Australia - do not worry !!

As everybody else has said the points don't transfer and here in Victoria they give you your UK licence back, when I transferred a South Australian one to the UK they destroyed it!
