I have decided i would like to write a kind of diary that my family, friends and even strangers can read about our decision to emigrate, the process and finally (when we arrive) our new life.
I know its not a new thing and people have been doing it for ages and i wondered the best way of doing it, so can anyone tell me
How do these freewebs work?
Can i set up my own site (not freeweb) and how do these work eg do i get any money when people visit or is that only if companies advertise on it?
Any advice would be great

We set up a blog on Famster is your family's home on the Internet! it's really easy to use and you can add diary entries as well as photos and family and friends can add comments of their own too. The link is in our signature if you want to see what it's like. We decided we wanted to keep poms separate to our family one - not because we don't want them to see what we write but it just didn't feel right sharing poms with them! (No offence Tim)
