Avatar.....how do I get one???

Sally-ann aka jonseywife has shown me how to put pictures on the threads, but I'm now trying to create an avatar. When I select edit avatar, I then paste and confirm it, but then the next page comes up with a message saying invalid file. Any one know what I'm doing wrong??

I'm completely stumped too, hence I have no avatar.

If we don't get the answers/advice over the weekend, I'll ask the IT guys at work next week how to do it.

I remember asking the same question a while back... I felt soooooo left out, and good old Jo came to my rescue and told me how to do it !!!!
Follow these instruction below... if you have any problems pm me girls !!!

Sometimes the picture is too big to put on as an Avatar and wont accept it..... it has to be a certain size. Try some other piccies Tracy.... it should work !!!!!

Sorry, I just realised that link I posted did'nt have any instructions.........................
I'd hate to think you are all feeling left out, so right you lot... try this !!!!
First you will have to save some pictures/avatars you like or are relevant to you personally either from google images or search on google for free avatar's on-line (these are good coz they are noramally the right size) and save them to your pictures. You can use your own photo's too !!!!!
Click on USER CP (on the top left of choices bar above) you have to be logged in to do this !!
Click on EDIT AVATAR
Two boxes will appear..... you need Custom Avatar box. Check the USE CUSTOM AVATAR CIRCLE then click on BROWSE.
This will bring up CHOOSE FILE box ( which is your personal computer stuff, including pictures you have saved previously. Click on MY PICTURES.
Then click on the picture/avatar you want and then the linkm will appear in the BROWSE box.
Click on SAVE CHANGES then hey presto ...... it should show you your new persoanlised Avatar !!!!
