Decorating;i Hate It !!

Well i have just had my two weeks off work that i have been waiting for all year round,and intead of sunny Spain,or greasy Grease, we decided to stay at home and do the decorating and diy.. We have sanded,papered, painted,and argued (think i am now high on paint fumes), but still we rallyed on thinking and saying we are doing it for the children and oz!. But i must say the house looks hot and i have fallen in love with it again (anyone want to buy a house !!!!!!) We have just the garden left now which should be done by the weekend as long as the weather stays good, and then we will have our final (hopefully) bbq with our friends and family before we put the house up for sale!.

All thats left to do now is my hubby to get his car back from the workshop and re-build it, so it doesn't look like steptoe and son outside while we are up for sale !!!

I THINKS SOME RETAIL THERAPY IS CALLED FOR THIS WEEKEND SOMEONE FIND ME MERRYHILL/TELFORD I FORGOT WHERE IT IS.

Hi there, I can relate and sympathise as we have just done exactly the same.
Managed to get rid of the kids to their grandparents for 10 days and instead of spending quality time together we spend all our time painting and preening the house
Lets hope the visa comes soon so we can put it on the market before the kids destroy all our hard work!

Hi Alex,

We've just come back from a weeks holiday, to decorating......what a bummer. I've got the estate agent coming on Thursday morning to take photos etc, so I'm working to a deadline. Personally it's the only way it will ever get done, I'm finishing painting some doors today that I started back in February! Tomorrow its the downstairs loo, what fun.....

But it'll all be worth it when we all get to Oz!!!

I can sympathise with all you have said..... we are decorating our house and i'm totally fed up and knackered. Hope to have house on market end of the month but we are selling it ourselves, not going to let estate asents get hold of my money.

It will all be worth it when we sell to the first people to look round and get offered £20000 over the asking price oh wishful thinking never hurt anyone.
