Keep an eye on CazBeckham's progress, I suggest. Her timeline should help all of us who are concerned about CP visas. There are some Contributory Parents around on the Go Matilda and the British Expats forums as well at the moment.

PS - I've just had an e-mail from a friend who is now in Perth. Her In-Laws ' CP application was sent off on 24 July 2006. It takes about a month or six weeks before they acknowledge it and you don't know the official lodgement date till you get the acknowledgement letter.
However, this lass's In-Laws' Agent in Perth heard from their CO for the first time today.
