Question Internet in rented property?

Is ADSL/Broadband readily available in rented properties? If not how did you go about getting on the net. Will find it hard going if we have to keep nipping out to Internet Cafe's.
Cheers
Neil

Yes we had to arrange connections to everything ourselves too. There's some quite good deals if you shop around. If you do set up broadband it may be worth looking at the telephone companies that go through you're broadband connection as international calls are so much cheaper that way. We are with Engin and pay a set amount each month and get unlimited free international calls. Great if you want to have a natter with someone back home! It works out a lot cheaper than Telstra, we cancelled our connection after one month with Telstra as we found them so expensive for our needs :o)

We stayed in a furnished rental for 12 weeks and internet access was already installed, initially they said we would have to pay... we agreed.. then the landlord said it didn't matter which was great of him 'cos we were never off it.

the first rental property we rented it took 2 to 3 weeks to get connected to broadband - we moved one & half streets away about 3 weeks ago and it took again 2 weeks to get reconnected to broadband - dial up was available straight away, they dont rush around here !!!!
