Hi all, somedays i think how much longer can i do this... waiting for the phone to ring or watching the pc for an email to appear, the kids are off and bored off there heads, and all i can think of is visas and oz, sorry to ave a whinge but theres only you people on here that understands wot the waiting game is like, all i get from my family is........ oh well it wont be the end of the world if u dont get the visas, HELLO YES IT WILL, they just dont get it, any way had my moan, ave a gud day!jane x

It s hard to entertain kids during holidays, Time does fly though, just got to keep yourself busy to take your mind off it,

Jane yes you are right we do know what you are going through,but the kids don't.Enjoy there summer hols as it may be there last one in England,just think of everything like that IT'S YOUR LAST ONE and as silverstargazer 38 says it KEEP BUSY.

Still waiting too and understand where your coming from. But the advice given by everyone on this site is good, keep busy. Do you think you could have the kids help you with a big sort out to occupy the time, perhaps get some stuff together for a car boot or charity box. Or have a spring clean.
I'm sorry, but was I the only person in the world who used to love having the kids at home during the holidays? We used to have a great time. We would so something virtually everyday - and no, I am ot talking about expensive day trips to theme parks etc. We would go out on our bikes, have picnics (even indoors when it was raining), catch a bus to a nearby town and just explore, go for walks along the river, have board game championships, baking days, camps in the back garden, all sorts of stuff that didn't cost money.
I do sympathise with all the waiting for the visa,I really do as we are in the same boat. But don't sit around moping, get on and enjoy having your kids around you - trust me they are gone before you know it.

Hiya i think the waiting is sent to test us!!! i agree its so frustrating and friends and family just dont understand ,you tend that get'' not Oz again'' look off them ,hang on in there ,use these holidays to take the kids to places you may not see again,cause when you do get that e-mail or phonecall ,no matter how organised you think you are now ,it will hit you like a brick and you wont know were to start.Good luck you'll get there and trust me its worth the wait!!

Yes the waiting is the worst, but then you get it and time flys by like its going out of fashion so start packing those boxes.

Hi, It's no help, but stargazer's right it will happen. The waiting is absolutely excrutiating though isn't it?
Interested to see your name, which visa are you going on? If OH is kiwi are you going on eligible kiwi spouse?

Hiya, yeah my OH is a KIWI so its a 461 kiwi spouse visa got it yesterday (3/8/07). In total its taken 3 months from application and many months of fart arsing around to get police check etc. Now waiting for the house to sell and OH's car to come back from panel shop thats taken 2months with still more hassle to come as no one knows how to get parts from OZ for it,talk about incompitance...!!!! ( rant over) sorry...
