You Know General ME ME ME... HELP!

Hello all!
I hope you are all super and everything, just though id write to say hello really.

Fill you in and stuff and ask my usual questions.

Getting married in Oct and nothing seems to be comming together!! argh!! Hope it does.... I get bad skin when im stressed and I dont want bad skin on my wedding day!

Should head to Australia early June/July next year... the thing is we have no idea where to go, I would like a place that is cheap to rent and also has some good jobs.

We will be 23 and 26, I do Spares and Admin in a Engineering Company and my husband to be has been a builder, carpenter and toyota car production line worker, but he has no certificated qualifications.....I have A-levels but I dont think they mean anything in Oz.

The thing is, he holds a full Oz passport but its through his dad (who died) so he has never been to Oz and neither have I so we have no idea where to start! I dont wanna be a billy no mates with a pap job.... will be sad

Also, we will have about £10k to get us settled.... is that really enough ? we will need to find somewhere to rent, but obviously we will look for jobs as soon as we get their.

Im so so worried its all gonna go wrong, we gonna go out their not be able to get jobs etc and have to come home, which would make it a very expensive holiday!!!

Firstly congratulations on the wedding. Dont panic the wedding will be a great day it just all goes down hill afterwards (only joking)

Cant really advise you where to go thats cheap I think everywhere is booming at the minute, we are opting for Cairns noticed the houses are cheaper than Brisbane and expanding rapidly in building work, but brisbane is a close 2nd for us. Renting is a fairly cheap option anyway in some areas but few rentals available in popular subburbs in Brisbane.

Sounds like you are both fairly adaptable regarding jobs why dont you get a camper van and travel around getting a feel for places plenty of temp work available I believe.

What ever you decide have a fantastic wedding and i'm sure you will love the new adventure of Australia.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS on your weding plans ...the weeks will fly by!

If you are really concerned about your skin do what my daughter did go to the doctors when it is at its worst and the chances are the doctor will put you on a long course of low dose antibiotics .... it worked within days for Emma.

Look at your reasons for wanting to go to Oz.. they may help with your decision as to where you end up staying. Its a really good idea to travel arround for a while when there to find whee you like best and to get a fel for the place..... ther are lots of websites that will give you more info on specific areas.

Thank you for your super nice reply
I had never thought of temping, but thats not a bad idea at all, we have looked at camper vans as then we could travel and get a fell for the places before straight renting somewhere.... good advise

I did get some anti histimine? You know what hay fever people get and that seemed to clear it up, but it was like megga red and itchy!! but I am having my make up done on the day so if it goes bad she should be able to cover it!!!

Good idea about the reasons for going,

hmmmm,

we are young.
we have no commitments
we feel england is going down hill
we wanna try something new
we think we will have a better life over in Oz

Hi Guys,

I thought I would reply and tell you howgood Adelaide is geat Golf courses, great beaches and great pubs & entertainment.

My parents came out here as a 10 puond pom's back in 1969 we since returned to England but again returned and have never looked back.

If you enjoy getting out of the house and enjoying the natural environment Adelaide certainly provide's thit for you.

Thanks for your post, I hate golf but I think we gonna head towards Adelaide first
As long as we get jobs and a place to stay and something to do we should be sorted
