age updates??

Hi Guys
Can anyone help with a question please??
My other half has been told today that the age for migration has gone up. Apparently this chap read it in the paper but I think he's dreamt it. If it's true, it'll be good news for some - I think I've aged 10 years already and we've only just started the process!
It's taken 4 WEEKS to get a job description and reference for our TRA application, from hubby's poor excuse of a manager. I was beginning to think he was using a needle to write with, it's taken soooo long. Hopefully we can post it at end of the week and I can have a glass of wine (or three) for the stress - purely medicinal purposes of course!
let me know if you hear anything - we've got a couple of pals who want to go but they're nearly 50.

Hi, if it is for a skilled visa,as far as we know the age limit is 45,maybe someone else knows different.

I think someone, somewhere bandied this around a couple of months ago and there was no truth in it then. I think we would of heard of it on either this or one of the other sites by now.

I cant say I've heard anything about changes in the age. I'm sure if it has changed though someone on here will let you know.

Think l read in 'Australian Outlook' a couple of months back, an article that said that the aussie government were 'considering' revising the age limit along with other options as they are keen to get more skilled people in.

Did see an advert in the local paper for skilled workers under 55!
