nightlife

hi

whats the nightlife like in Brisbane me and my hubby dont really go out raving but we do like to go to the pub when we can get a babysitter or for a nice meal. Ive heard the pubs in Oz are a lot different to the ones over here can any one give me any info?

Chelle We never went into Brissy at night but Paul has also been alone to Oz a couple of years back to stay with his bro for a couple of weeks to get the feel of the work situation...whilst they were there without me, they went into Brissy at night...He just said there were a few nightclubs that all seemed pretty trendy..But they did go into a casino which, he cant remember the name of but he said was near the bridge...hmmm ...
He says it was a fantastic place, lots of nice eateries too :)

Chelle,

What we found was there is not really any "pubs" most places are eateries that you can go and have a drink in. Unless you go somewhere like Surfers Paradise which has more pubs and clubs as it is tourist area but tend to be more youngens/backpackers etc.

They got a subway near Mooloolaba beach, next to a maccy d's!!! also some gorgeous places to eat and drink along the sea front there, and also at Noosa :)

do u get trouble there or is everyone more or less friendly?

gav says he is turning the garage into a pub anyway so it wont matter lol

i will definatly look for the casino next to the bridge ???

We went to a fab Sizzlers in Caboolture.....bit like harvesters ..There was a couple of pubs in all the places we went in the suburbs chelle...you will be just fine...I have loads of info that i picked up while there so will sort it and you can share it with Hayley :) x will give it too hayley next week and then she can pass it on :)

Trust you to get more info on drinking dens than anything else .........
