Just wanted to establish what the general opinion was on shipping or not, my friend is leaving on 9th April and they have sold their whole house furnished (less personal possessions) to a South African family who have come to the UK with nothing. Whats everyone else doing??
We're gonna try and sell most of the furniture with the house. We have a few pieces of custom made pine furniture we want to take with us though. Does anyone know what we have to go through to do this?

Ikea - blue and yellow heaven! There is one in Logan,Brisbane apparently yeah!!!!!. Go to ikea.com.au for info. (We are hoping to settle in Gold Coast area.)
Gonna take some furniture and t.v. which is quite new although I need to check if it will work/can be converted or whatever along with personal possessions. Someone told me to take washing machine as they mostly have top loaders which use more water and the front loaders are much more expensive.
