I am working on a new documentary series for Channel 4 that will follow couples and families as they move from the UK to Australia. We want to show the ups and downs of migration applications, planning the move, travelling and then starting to build a new life in another country. I'm looking to speak to outgoing people who hope to be in Australia before the end of September 2007 and who have a plan for their fresh start.
If you might be interested in having the next nine months or so documented then please get in touch with me. There's no obligation at all by contacting me. It would just be good to explain a bit more about the aims of the programme and find out about your experiences so far and your plans for the future.
To find out more please email me at lyndaregnier@tigeraspect.co.uk or call my direct line on 020 7434 6771. If I'm not there please leave a message and tell me the best times to call you back.
I hope to hear from you.
Thanks and many best wishes
Lynda
I might email tomorrow as i think it is quite an exciting thing to do and never done anything like that before and with my medical condition it will help others too with how our process goes
Hey Jo hun i thought you had gone offline for the evening chick, i am thinking of emailing so as people with medical conditions can maybe see just what we have been and still going through as this believe it or not has been and is touh and an emotional rollercoaster with the not knowing either way and can at least give others answers and ideas.
I just wanted to say thank you very much to everyone who has got in touch. I've really enjoyed hearing about your experiences and plans. I am still interested in hearing from more people though so please drop me a line or give me a call if you'd like to have a chat. There's absolutely no obligation and it's completely confidential.
We have just e-mailed back.We have had such a hard time getting to were we are at what with ex husbands, skills assesments(lost certificates),animals, older children and we are still going thru it like everyone else on here. but keep smiling everyone we will get through it
I've just sent you an e-mail, hope you'll be interested in speaking to my husband and I.
We're leaving on the 17th April for Perth, have done the whole process ourselves! Even the 2 cats! Very stressful but hope its going to be worth it.
Take care all
Claire.
I have been reading this thread and have emailed too, we are hoping to go to Brisbane later this year, we have a young family and the whole process is a little drawn out - but worth it in the end if we love it!!!!!!!
Good luck to all hoping to emigrate, I hope it works out for each and everyone of you.
