Burpengary and Caboolture information required

Hi there mate.We've(me,wife and 18 month old girl) have been in brisbane since Oct 2006,And live in the north side.I've been to both Burpengary and caboolture and they seem fine.I know a guy who lives in burpengary and he says the place is a good place to live although it is a fair travel(45 min) to the city centre.My boss lives in Caboolture and he seems to like it although he's was born and bred there.The word is that Caboolture is not the best place to live,but i have yet to see a place here that is as bad or run down as some places you get in the UK.If you are going to be working there,only about 10 minutes drive is a nice Estate/Suburb called North lakes which is basically full of UK immigrants and is very new and reasonably priced for houses.

Thanks for that one.
The past 6 months we thought that we'd be settling in Caboolture, we've had a 1.5msq map of the area on the study wall, studying it etc.!! :oops:

But we've had a spanner thrown into the works, my wife knows a policeman that migrated to Adelaide last year and he is led to believe that although a "lovely" place, he wouldn't live there!!!!! :shock:

So, we are back to square one and migrating July '07!!
We want to settle North of Brisbane, not North Lakes though.
We've started looking at Morayfield, Burpengary, Narangba, Kallangur and Petrie. Do you have any thoughts of these areas?

Hi ...I have lived in brisbane for 4 months now and been looking at all suburbs...Petrie is very nice,seems quiet and some lovely houses but think it can be expensive.
