AM I MAD??

Anyone out here in Aus from UK missing home? just silly little things like the snow, ive had many pics sent to me and is making me feel a little homesick. i just love the snow and doesnt it look soo lovely? but as we know it doesnt last and then its back to rain, rain and more bloomin rain. Weve only been her just over 2 months but i really miss it and im sure id feel different if i went home. Were only here for 2 years or maybe 3 so i shouldnt complain. its funny i scour all the newsagents for UK magazines for the weekly goss on whats goin on and i check out corrie updates on pc, but the funny thing is that i never watched it much when i was back home!!! i think its cus i like to still feel connected to uk in any means, dus that sound like im mad or something? ok ok your all thinking ive lost the plot but cant help the way i feel.

Clare xxx :?

My Mood:
The.Colebecks is on a distinguished road
I have to say that I am not really a cold weather person but it suddenly struck me when all that beautiful snow was here on Thursday morning, and the kids were jumping up and down in excitement standing at the front door with their sledges at 7.30am  , that we were taking them away from (possibly) ever seeing snow again

However, on a more positive note with regards to should you really be missing it that much - the whole flippin country came to a complete standstill with regards to transport, all the schools were shut so many working parents had to arrange childcare for the day  and on Saturday it piddled down with rain all day so the 8 inches of snow we had was gone in a matter of a few hours!

I definitely know that my boys will gain so much more from waking up most mornings to lovely sunshine and deciding what sport to go and play all day long :D

Keep that sunshine on your back :)

K xx

You know there are ski resorts here right? about 4hrs from Melb and 6hrs from Sydney. Hardly on par with Europe's slopes, but they are here 8)

We got a little sentimental on Thursday and went out and about with the video camera but Ian's right. There are ski resorts in oz and it does snow too. We were in Melbourne in 2005 when it snowed there - we even got stuck in a snow drift.
