I'd emailed Tim on a totally unrelated issue, but gave him compliments on the site and thought that I should really put them on here -
So - I really like this site because: There's no back biting or bitching, I haven't met any 'know it alls' who remind me of the Harry Enfield character who says " You don't wanna do it like that..."
Members are genuinely very friendly and helpful and when I was waiting for my visa, I got so much support at a time when I couldn't really discuss it with friends and family who were secretly hoping we'd get turned down or that we'd call the whole thing off. I wish I had a pound for every person whose told me I can alway come back if I don't like it.
I've made some lovely friends I now correspond with regularly and wouldn't have met (so to speak) otherwise.
So I vote the PIO is the friendliest site (follwed close behind I'm sure by perthpoms) - and a big thank you Tim

That's what we think. It is hard to talk about concerns to friends and family because the response may be don't do it then. Everyone is so friendly and it doesn't seem to matter how small or silly a question is, people post it and get so many replies. We're here for the long run and will be lapping up any pearls of wisdom that anyone offers.

I couldn't agree more, and it is not rocket-science to work out that we are all hinting at the same one. Controlled by an American woman, the other one, hence all the brash advertising all over it...
Oh Ali what a lovely pst and Dan I hate to admit it but you are so right...I have been here almost 2 years now and I still love to come here...We just get on so well and all want to help..sure we joke about but its all part of it...

Gotta agree i too find this friendlyist site ,even thou i dont visit the others much!! well i dont need too i can get all my answers and fun here ,anyway we have the bestest clown mascot ,dont we Dan?
