Yes same here! Pickfords are coming to us on the 27th August and my 'to do list' is getting longer! but it's definately getting more real & exciting now rather than scary!! I'm really looking forward to our leaving get togethers now & finally saying our goodbyes.. as the process of emigrating takes so long I reckon some people will be glad to see the back of us!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!!! not long now!

Definitely helps to set a date- IMHO. We had to wait for the sale of OH business after we got our Visa in Feb- took forever but we set a date then to keep us focussed.

We are off to Melbourne with our woollies- mind you boring subject though it is, we are looking forward to a decent summer- the one up here is pants again!

We have chunked the things to do list now- have to face the clean outside stuff/tools/vacs etc when we get back off our farewell tour!

My brother will meet us at the other end with their two cars- he thinks the amount of luggage we will have is hilarious. In fact he thinks we should go on holiday when we arrive- not sure how to take that ! LOL.
Not to mention the baby/dog sitting he's got lined up for us! Anyway cant wait now!

Hi, our furniture was taken tuesday and we are not flying out till 31st August. We are sleeping on a mattres on the floor for 5 weeks, kids still have their bunk beds though as we are not shipping them over. House is completely empty. I would rather rough it in our house than in a country we donn't know, at least when we arrive hopefully furniture should be arriving 2 weeks later.

      Good Luck everyone !!

we thought about doing it this way round - better to live without here where you can borrow and know things than the other end .... so I'd be interested to know how it goes for you over the nxt few weeks! Cheers!!
