Best & Worst......?

Just thinking about the big move & wondered what you consider to be the best & worst bits about your move to/life in Oz?

Worst first: Oz is FAR from everywhere. Even places in Oz are far from each other. So transport's an issue. Driving costs you heap in fuel and breakdowns. Public transport's no bargain either. Travel within Oz is expensive. Travel to anywhere outside Oz (apart from NZ I suppose) is restrictive.

Best: once you're here you're pretty much stuck here. So you learn to live with it and to make the best of it. And sunshine, which on a cool day lifts the spirits (although in mid-summer with high humidity makes you long for any place shady)

WORST: BEing away when something bad happens (lost a few people since being here) & seeing my cousins grow up! I realise how long Ive been gone!

BEST: Its a good life, i have all that I want in life and I am proud that I did this!

Worst - adjusting to the climate (winter more than summer, I AM BLOODY FREEZING) and not being able to ''nip'' back to see family.

Best - being able to work for myself, hubby being able to work part-time and more than anything being mortgage free

For me the best bits have been and are that it gets better here all the time .
The worst bits ,tbo i cant think of any thing that bad ,so i guess i am very lucky .Am loveing my new found life.

Worst - the flies, the heat and the mozzies.

Best - it has made me appreciate the UK far more than I would ever have done had I stayed there.

The best is everything, the wildlife, the weather even when it is raining, the cheap petrol, the vast open spaces, the views, the houses. Love Australia so far.

The worst is OH not being able to get work no matter how hard he tries and people not responing to his many applications.

Worst..............taxiing the kids (every day) to footy, tae kwan do etc

best.................knowing that they enjoy it.

Worst ... leaving friends and famil, and mozzies (I have a bad reaction)

Best .... just about everything else

The best is the beautiful beaches and the blue skies and the outdoor lifestyle, and that my son loves his school

The worst at present is the lack of work and that bl**dy horrible word licence, Never thought I would have a phobia to such a word
