      H.E.L.P. Moving to Oz

My boyfriend has been given the opportunity to move to Oz with his work, UK based company, sponsored by a Japanes Company, and us living in Perth, WA, with two small children, 1 in reception year at school. HELP!! I have no idea where to start.
I am putting together a cost document for the company on how much for what etc and I have no idea as to living costs and relocation costs from Kent, UK to Perth, WA.

Anyone that can point me in the right direction, for visa, relocation, housing, childcare, schooling etc. etc. MUCH APPRECIATED.

      Hi and

You could try contacting a reputable migration agent such as Go Matilda or the Visa Bureau and they will talk you through the visa process. If you'd rather go alone visit www.immi.gov.au and there is plenty of info on there about visas.

      Lots of Luck!!!

Have a look on www.aussiemove.com which has a list of suburbs surrounding Perth, gives you average house prices, links to schools etc.

Hi hopefully some of our members in Perth will be able to give you a guide to education costs, housing costs etc. I know when we moved to Brisbane there was little change from 10,000GBP after the visa costs, shipping, flights etc had been paid.
Also be aware that on sponsership you probably wont be able to seek any financial help from the Goverment/Centrelink and will only be entitled to basic Medicare cover.
See if hubbys company are willing to fund your full relocation including tempoary furnished accommodation for a few weeks whilst you find you feet and secure a longer term rental house.
Dont forget to budget for car hire too and then for buying a car.
Get some quotes in for shipping and decide if you are going to bring everything or just personal stuff. Some reputable companys include Crown Relo, Dorre Bonner, Whites.
Some sites you may find helpful are
      www.realestate.com
      www.stayz.com.au
      www.carguide.com.au

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place...
If you get a chance, take it, If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy they just said it would be worth it...
