Emirates Baggage
Hello all, can anyone help out with my confusion with regards to baggage allowance when flying from Newcastle to Perth? I have been informed by couple of sources that if you tell Emirates you are emigrating they up your allowance to 40 kg. One of the sources was Mason's removals. I phoned Emirates helpline and managed to have a confusing conversation with a lady who I guessed was Italian. She informed me that they no give extra allowance and stopped it last summer. Has anyone any experience of this?

Emirates will only now give extra baggage allowance to people who book via moving planet. The only used to give extra baggage to people on PR visa, don't know if this is the same. Singapore are still offering extra baggage to people on PR visa, providing their visa hasn't previously been validated.

Has anyone booked and used Emirates via Moving Planet? Is it available for the 475 regional sponsored visa?
I have got a good quote from them from Glasgow to Melbourne in June but not sure about 475 end of things.

the 457 is a temporary visa and emirates usually don't give extra baggage on this visa only PR. But, check out that if this visa is covered if you book with moving planet. As they've only changed this recently, they may have also looked at which visa's they allow the extra baggage allowance too. Contact emirates direct.
