      Whilst we're talking about 'feelings'.....

      Does anyone have this one?

Since we recently made our final decision to migrate to OZ we are excited about it. However despite all the research being complete, all the figures stacking up and everyone being supportive, we still feel like we might not make it for some reason!?!

It's as if something unknown will stop us or won't allow us to realise our dream. It's almost that the propsect of a new life in OZ is too good to actually attain. Does that make sense?

I know it's probably just paranoia, but both Sarah and I feel the same and just wondered if anyone else knows the feeling?

      Hi!

I constantly question whether I'll actually get to Oz or not and I don't think I'll be sure until I get on that one-way flight!

I'm sure you'll get there! No need to worry...

Of course, I think everyone goes through it.
It's almost like a 'we're not worthy' type feeling.
However our mantra during the summer months was 'it'll all come good" - we had so many issues, selling house, relocating animals, finding the money!!!......so we just said our mantra whenever we got those feelings.
However, we got here 7 weeks ago......guess the mantra worked!
It doesn't all get miraculously better when you get here, but challenges can be overcome with a little bit of sunshine every day.
The process of emigrating is hard, and there are sacrifices to be made, but if you can make it onto the plane, you can make it through the challenges here too!
All the best for your adventure......look forward to hearing when you make it over!
I read a report that said symptoms of stress were eating too much, drinking too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast. Who are they kidding, that's my perfect day.

It was Orriible' for us when we were leaving.
Felt like we were deserting the place and our friends.
Could have filled my pants fifteen times over.

Guess what..........After 8 years here it has worked out.

Hi, we often feel like it ain't really going to happen and we're living in this fantasy bubble!

Once we had decided we were going, we were so excited, told no-one until we had talked about and planned everything. Didn't want to tell the children until we had our visas as didn't want to upset them in case it never happened! Then when things were looking up we told a few close friends and family, one of my friends told her daughter who then told mine!

We initially said 4 years, (trying to pick a time when it would suit us best), then decided "why wait?" and started the process, then had to put on hold due to financial reasons. We're still on hold! At the moment, I'm feeling it's not going to happen, but I keep coming on here reading positive comments trying to keep myself thinking positive!!!!

I think you feel this way because you want it so much I'm sure it's completely normal. For us, it's a long way away. Still waiting for our things to be sent off for TRA *sigh*. Wish there was a fast forward button! I'm sure that if everythings in order, nothing can stop you. So just relax and look forward to your future

      Not at all Earlswood.

I think you are quite late in picking up on this.

Kind of a double bluff here but do you think I'd be so mercenary??

I love living here and will not let the whingers give a singular view.

The life of my family and I has changed so much for the better here it is hard to put into word.

Very much the polar opposite of the whinging "I wanna go home" cry babies that can "infect" some folk's decisions.

I do not find people who have uprooted everything at massive expense and have TRIED Australia
“cry babies”but despite trying they find they want to go home for whatever reason, people on these forums give their honest views and because someone finds something in Oz that they find wrong or irritating it is not whinging.
I say again it is in your interest to get as many people over there as you run a letting agency…so to be honest your views are taken with a liberal pinch of salt by me.
      Hhhmmmmmmm.
