Query re work sponsored visa
Hi all
Just had a reply from one of the immigration sites who have said that as my husband is a landscape gardener but unfortunately no qualifications he can get in to Oz as its one of the skills needed however he can only get in by being sponsored by a company out there. Does anyone know any more about these visas? Does the company have to pay anything? Is anyone going out on one of these visas and if so how did they do it? We have a friend in Oz (a very good friend) who could help with getting a job.
Hope to hear from you soon
Sam

Hi Sam, we are in the same boat as urselves, my husband is a sprayer with no NVQ so we need a sponsor aswell, we are going to a jobs expo in Leeds on the 18th of Oct. You can look it up on the internet, it sounds good as there will be loads of employers there looking for people. Apart from that you could go to Oz for a holiday and try and get a sponsor yourself or like us if you cant afford to do that, you could go through a migration agent who finds a job for you. If you look into the immigrations sites and visa sites you will find details of this type of sponsor visa. Going by what i have read, you will be tied into that employer for 2 years unless you get another sponsor out there and change to them. But it only lasts 4 years, so when you are there you need to apply for a permanent residency visa with the reference you get from your employer. I hope this helps you, it is all very confusing.
