evidence of relationship
my fiance and her son have been stayin with me for over 5 years , i never bothered changing any details like bills and council tax ,they all have my name on them. we opened a joint bank account over a year ago, also advised the housing association that i was looking for a larger house as it was a bit cramped a few years ago giving both their names in the application form, my fiance has her pay slips and other mail sent to this address her son also has letters sent here from school, she also has her driving licence with our address on it, we have photographs of family holidays for the last eight years , but no bills or anything with both our names on it, can anyone tell me if that would be enough for our visa application on the evidence of relationship issue, we were goin to get married but when we decided we wanted to go to auzz we wanted to save as much as we could , if we were to get married here would that help our application on theses issues, we have also been to auzz together on four occasions could we use our passports to show we entered auzz altogether , if any one can help i would really appreciate it

Hi Jim,
Best to get some stat decs from peeps in the uk & also from any friends or family in oz if you have anybody here who could do that.
Immi do like to see confirmation of a relationship, i,e, insurance documents like car insurance life assurance, joint clubs memberships, flight tickets, etc
Have a good dig around and see what you can find extra
All the best

StuJu I have just moved to Oz on a prospect marriage visa and we had to produce proof we are getting married in australia which inculded booking the justice of the peace(vicar in uk terms) and proof we where serious about everything which inculded brochures for all the stuff you need for your wedding. As I meet my over half off the net we used are phone bills, emails aswells getting friends to verfer that you both are intending to marrying and are in a relationship, we also inculded pictures of us together and proof i meet her in person which i did at the beining of the year. If possible put the receipt of the engagement ring in aswell as that inculded as proof Just make sure you can tick all the boxes to as it will save you time. The police checks can take up to 40 days as they through to New Scotland Yard and they can hold on to them for ages.

Hi onecrankypom,
Agree with you, anything is worth chucking in, receipts for engagement rings, letters re wedding venue etc - we too used emails we had sent to each other (although we were married when applied)
we also chucked in wedding cards & rsvps replies that peeps sent to us and cards & letters from peeps that coudnt attend our wedding cause they were on hols or whatever.
good luck

I sent in all the above and also went as far as including stuff like the stubs from boarding passes when we'd flown places together, train ticket receipts, the odd christmas card, pictures, along with some "references" from people.
We too had not much in the way of joint bills etc, and it wasn't a problem at all!

OH, I've just realised you're from Irvine.
I'm from Girvan in Ayrshire originally, and I was born up in sunny Irvine!
