Hiya, sorry can't help with your predicament but just wanted to tell you that i am in the same boat. I have a 20 year old who now wants to come with us but has no skill. He went to university for a year and decided to take a year off and now doesn't want to go back. I am at a loss as to what i can do to get him over with us now but this will be a good thread to watch in case anyone comes up with anything.
      Take care

:idea:This sounds like a case for an agent but I would think the options for your 21yr old would be to study for a wanted skill or go on a working holiday visa

20yr old? is he dependant, does he live with you and is he in full time work? if not he could still be classed as a dependant especially if he does further study in Australia

I would try speaking to a reliable agent about this

kids who'd ave em - mine are both on my visa and are reluctant to go

Good luck to both of you

Yes I have a 19 year old son who at present is being applied for as a dependent on our visa as he is in full time college. However he has a part time job which earns him a really good salary and our agent feels he may not be classed as a dependent as he is earning so much money. If this is the case he will have to come over on a working holiday visa and then apply for a 'left' relative visa. There are always ways and means - just speak to a good agent about it. good luck!

Hi guys, Its a really tricky situation, so much so that my mum made me apply for residency when she left 8 years ago because i was still a dependant child and it is so much easier. But there are still ways around it. As his mother you are a great sponsor for an individual application. Could your son apply for jobs from the UK and then have his Australian employer sponsor his application for skilled entry?? Sorry I am not great at all this stuff but its an idea.

I got my 21yr old on my BN 136 permanent residency visa, she is a full time student nurse and she is finacially dependent on us, we had to have proof of this eg, her bank books which we transfer money into each week etc . we did use an agent and our solicitor verified this for us. it took time to do but it was worth it as we got her on ours. hope this helps
