Hi guys
Back on line at last. Been in oz for 9 weeks now. Have found a place to live, in Beerwah, just up the road from jo and paul, shame for us.
The kids have settled into school very well.
We've got a car, a job, and mostly we're enjoying it. Having ups and downs. Looking for a boat (he can dream on, Tina) for those hot sunny weekends.
Hope to catch up on what's been going on here on pio, and like to say hi to you all.

Wahooo......Welcome back to PIO....... nice to hear from you and glad your settling in now (although Jo has updated us all now and again !!!)

My advice would be don't dwell on the downs, you two, just think of all the up's and you'll be OK !!!!

Glad to hear you got the rental!
The rollercoaster of ups n downs is very normal, we are still havin the odd "moment" after 16 months so 9 weeks is very normal.
Was the melted laptop salvagable or did you have to get a new one??

Well, it goes a little something like this - If you decide to take a 7 hour drive up to Gladstone for a weekend fishing and on the @iss don't leave your laptop in the back of your car all weekend as the sun will get to your lappie and bugger it up.
Normally i wouldn't be as stupid as this but after that long a drive, kids in the car screaming and yelling, just couldn't wait to jump out the car and jump straight into my mate's pool. So yeah, got a spanking new laptop which i'm tying away on now.
