august applications

hi, any august applications still waiting for full acknowledgement?
ours arrived in aus on 17th august , payment taken 21 november.
checking e mails everyday but nothing so far.
anyone in the same boat???

Hi Steve and Lesley

We lodged on 29 Aug. Were receipted on 7 Dec. No ack as yet. Apparantly ASPC have said that all acks will be done by 15 Feb. However, they got their receipting wrong saying everyone was receipted and they were not.

It is a waiting game and very stressful but hang in there I'm sure it will come soon.

Yes, I read that thread. I don't think that is really what we should be going by with regard to dates. Seems that people lodging their apps both before and after us have had ack already.

I dont mean this in a bad way but august applicants must be so fed up with the way things have worked out especially with the September changes and how fast things are going through now. Did no one advise you to hang on til September or are you all going it alone.

We wanted to get our app in before September because of all the changes. Can't remember exactly why. I think it was to do with OH not having proper qualifications (on the job training and years experience instead) so he would have to have had an assessment. It is a bummer but just one of those things. We will get there in the end. Might even have our Visa before you Wardy! ONLY JOKING. Still waiting?

We are going it alone, but I didn't see anything on the DIMA website to advise us otherwise. Tough luck I guess.

hi, if only id known september appl. would go so quickly i would have waited a month longer.
id probly have my visa by now in that case.
its so frustrating and theres nothing one can do. there's no-one to chase up its just a waiting game.

We were advised because of the changes on the 1st September to get it before hand because the points were changing for the english passport holders and wouldn't get the full points, otherwise do the english test. Also we had an age problem on our side.
