Crap Customer Service... the world over, it seems!
It's probably just the phase of the moon but I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooo sick of crap customer service from 'phone networks and utilities!
I just want to scream
And if that's not bad enough how about voice recognition systems that don't recognise native English speakers! If I respond with "yes" a grating voice says "I'm sorry, I didn't understand that, did you say YIS or NOW?" So I end up dancing to the fiddle and saying "YIS!"
Anybody else tired of this?????

if you dont, look up Carol on Little Britain - Youtube.

Oh that's interesting to know. I have had a real big nightmare with BT and Tiscali here. I wrote them both huge complaint letters as their service was so bad. Guess it seems to be world over. Shame as I could not imagine it being any worse than it is here. I spoke to so many indian people I will probably never be allowed to enter the country as shouted at them all mainly. (Sorry no offence to indian people, but they are the ones that BT and Tiscali dump all their grumpy customer on).

You try and try to get yourself understood, but it does not work. There is something about accents and phones that make it so much harder. J was actually swearing at me about a tax office situation whilst talking to a tax employee yesterday , thinking he'd covered the phone (she had a strong UK accent and couln't understand very well - computer says no again - will remain anonymous) but unfortunately she heard him ranting at me and berated him for swearing at her. OMG, we are DOOMED !!!!!! God help us when we get back to the UK - and he was not criticising her in any way , just the bloody tax system.
ps BT have been one of our biggest headaches since leaving the UK.

I wouldn't normally post on a thread which is so reliant on personal experience- and therefore can't be 'right' or 'wrong', and so this is just my personal opinion, but I have always found customer care to be way better here. Just MHO of course!

You wouldn't think so if you had my experience, a week on the phone to indian call centres, just trying to get my broadband sorted, it makes you wanna
. They are really polite, which makes it worse cos you cant get angry with them, half the time can't understand what they are saying, have to keep asking them to repeat, but they just keep telling you to do this do that, ok we'll pass you to ????, then you go thru it again, try this, try that, ok we'll pass you to ????, at each stage they blame something which is not their responsibilty, ie, it's your equipment, then back to try this, try that, oh, I'll pass you to ???? vicious circle, one week later problem still not sorted,
And the worse part is knowing I have to talk to them again if I wanna get the problem sorted.
I'm NOT a celebrity, "get me outa here"
