Has anyone been to an expo where you can find out about going and meet employers?? if so any good?

HI GUYS WE WHEN TO AN EXPO LAST YAR IN EDINBURGH PICKED UP LOTS OF HANDY INFO RE JOBS MONEY AND MOVING EVERYTHING OUT UNFORTUNATELY BECAUSE IT WAS SOOOO BUSY YOU DONT HAVE MUCH TIME TO TALK TO EACH PERSON [AND THERE IS LOTS OF THINGS YOU WANT TO ASK ] WE ACTUALLY CAME AWAY MORE CONFUSED THAN WHEN WE WENT

Hi we are going to the one in Manchester. I hear mixed reviews about them but going to give it a go anyway. It cost us £30 and any info will be great. We have also decided to stay the night and make the most of NO KIDS.

hi we went to one in manchester we got the info off dima web site so it was an official one we didnt have to pay but you had to register for it and could only go if you where invited , luckily me and my oh both got invites we took our son along took him out of school early as we had no body to look after him and explained to the organiser who insisted we could not take our son in
i went in alone didnt find the much info about work but spoke to a bloke from the TRA also people from the banks, and then W.A gov stand who tried to get our son in as we both needed to speak to them when the organiser said no to them also 2 ladies said where is your wife at that point the 2 ladies left the stand with myself and went into the bar and talked to us about what to do and when to do it
it was W.A who told us not to use an agent as they would sponsor us and the process is easy enough ... so we did now waitin for a case officer ..

just a few tips
take some water as it was very hot with all the bodies in there
try and get application forms in order ie TRA / VISAS and ask them to have a quick look over them i saw somebody doing this when i was there

can you let others know of the dates of these expos

Hi ALL HAVE NOW SPOKE TO VISA BUREAU WHO SAY THEY CAN PROVIDE US WITH THE HONEST INFO WE NEED AS THEY ARE REGISTERED SO STILL DECIDING WHETHER TO GO OR NOT. BUT MAY SEE YOU THERE. ENJOY

We got the info for the expo off the DIMA website, but like everything else you now have too pay. We had to register first, you cant just turn up.
